• Agape in Action is now a registered charity in Canada, #85224 6982 RR0001. Tax receipts will be issued from January 1st, 2008. We are now starting the registration process in Australia and plan to register in other countries.

TOUR D'AGAPE - Love in Action!
(Fundraiser – Ontario, Canada)
"In the simplest terms, we are trying to put love into action. We have always wanted to make the 300 km trek from Halton area to Manitoulin Island, but turning it into a fund raiser only occurred to us in the wave of many other fundraise events such as Ride to Conquer Cancer and Jump Rope for Love. Being commanded to 'do good to all men' (Gal 6:19) we contacted Agape in Action with our idea.

Agape in Action is a Christadelphian charity focusing on child sponsorship and projects that support these children and our family in Christ in Kenya, Uganda and India. They provide basic necessities such as clean water, food, shelter, clothing, education and medical needs.

Together we are organizing a 300 km bike ride over the course of 3 days (August 13-15 on the way to Manitoulin Youth Conference) that will follow the Bruce Peninsula up to Tobermory, cross on the Chicheemaun Ferry and continue the last 30 km from Southbay Mouth to the Bible camp in Mindemoya. Along the way we are going to be staying in B & B's, one that has already graciously offered to host us for free. God willing we will have a 'support team' meaning someone driving in a vehicle that will stay in close proximity to us and be able to help out if any problems arise. Everyone is welcome to participate in this event that completes training requirements and has a willing heart. We are not athletes, just a group of people interested in putting love into action. Our mission statement is simple: "... let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."
