Tour D'Agape 2011

The fourth annual Tour D'Agape bike ride is being organized for June 18th, 2011.

Tour D'Agape is a cycling event that raises funds money for Agape in Action (AinA). This is an amazing opportunity for us to get involved, be active and really put our 'love into action' as we have been commanded (1 Jn 3:16-18).

Date: June 18th, 2010 (The week after the TorontoSunday School picnic)
Where: Cedarvale Park, Georgetown (located on the corner of Main St. and Maple St. There is parking there.)

The start times are as follows:

9:00 am - Veteran (100km)
11:00 am - Intermediate I (50km)
1:00 pm - 'A nice roll' (25km)
1:30 pm - 'Kiddies Ride' (3km bike route = bike path)

This is a family friendly event! We have biking options to suit absolutely everyones abilities! 15 km, 50 km and 100 km loops and a smaller kiddie ride (if there is enough interest). The park also offers lots of space, frisbee golf and a splash pad close by if kids what to cool down :)

In the past three years 24 riders have raised just over $14,000 and the money was put towards; hygiene kits, water development programs, and high school education. Our goal for 2011... $6,000+ for AinA! This money will go a long way to help a lot of people who really need it. This year the money will go towards the building of a Christadelphian High school which is so needed in Kamukuywa Kenya. This is Agape in Action's biggest project to date! There are many ways to get involved!

A) BIKE!! It is an amazing experience and you will have help along every step of the process from training to fund raising! Literally putting your love into action! Registration and fund raising sheets will be up on the website soon.

B) SUPPORT STAFF –We need people to help drive support vehicles, supper, run hydration stations, help with administration work and assist in any other way possible.

C) SPONSOR –Tour D'Agape needs its participants to raise money for the trip which can be done online (see below) or through the individual riders. Any amount helps - a little goes a long way!

D) SPREAD THE NEWS –talk about Tour D'Agape with others and get people excited.

E) ATTEND –Show your support and have a lovely family outing sharing in fellowship with others!

Prices and Registration

All proceeds from participant registrations will be donated to Agape in Action. Your entry fee will be payable upon registration.

Registration is $40 for adults, $20 for teens and kids under 13 are free. Family rate is $70 (which means parent(s) and immediate children).  Payment is to be made with registration either by cheque made out to ‘Agape in Action’ and earmarked ‘tour’ or online below.
